Our members have been very busy since our last meeting working on projects and learning new techniques at Craft Napa.

Round Robin Banners

The group Artitude did a round robin banner project.  They chose a theme and put the material they wanted used into an envelop and it was passed each month to a new member to make a panel. Pictured above are Robin, Ginny, Pat, Lynn, Michelle, Linda & Lynda with 7 of the banners.

Craft Napa

Many members attended Craft Napa and took workshops.  They brought samples of their projects.  They highly recommended it to everyone for next year.

Show & Tell/Brags
"Same Stuff Different Time"
by Trish Morris-Plise

Trish made the original quilt for Threads if Resistance.  The original was a dress.  The upper body was a trace of her upper body and a skirt was added.

She wanted to enter the original quilt in “100 Years of Women’s Progress”, an exhibit organized by East Bay Heritage Quilt Guild.  Due to their size restrictions she needed to start from scratch.  She chose to down size my original and enter it.  It was juried into the exhibit and will be on display at the Richmond Museum of History in Richmond California.  It will also be part of a online exhibit for a longer period of time.
